Pete and Petey - Kite Flying
“Daddy,” asked Petey Washburn, “Can I fly the kite?”
Meet Petey Washburn, age seven. He is named after his dad, Pete, but everyone calls him Petey. Its summer and they are at Nana and Granddaddy’s house packing the wagon to go to the beach. “Sure can,” says his father, but Petey’s anticipation turns to disappointment when the kite refuses to fly. Pete thinks a tail might help, but anything they could use is back at the house. Petey will have to wait till tomorrow to fly the kite. |
“Maybe not,” mom says with a smile as she hands Pete something, but will it work?
Kite Flying continues the adventures of Pete and Petey, who enjoy a very close father-son relationship and are members of a loving family that does things together.
