Officer Jack - Book 6 - Trusty Tinsley

Acknowledgement:  This Officer Jack episode is based upon a real response conducted on January 3, 2022, by Lebanon, NH., police officers and Trooper Sandberg of Troop D, New Hampshire State Police (NHSP), when they responded to reports of a loose dog on Veteran’s Memorial Bridge on Interstate 89. In the process of trying to catch the dog (a Shiloh Shepard named Tinsley), Tinsley led them to the crash site of his owner. The driver (Tinsley’s owner) and passenger had been thrown from the vehicle and were suffering from injuries and hypothermia. It was a bitterly cold night and without Tinsley’s leading, the crash site would have gone unnoticed till morning and driver and passenger would have frozen to death. Once the crash was discovered and reported, additional NHSP Troopers responded as well as the Police and Fire Departments from Lebanon, NH., and Hartford, VT.
Dispatch sends Officer Jack and Officer Kate to catch a dog that is loose on the highway.  They respond, but every time they get close to the dog, he runs further up the shoulder.  Is he scared or is he leading them somewhere?
