James (Jim) Burd Brewster was raised in Albany, NY, learned to sail on Lake Champlain, navigated a Polar Icebreaker in the US Coast Guard, and married Katie Spivey from Wilmington, NC. They lived in Baltimore, MD when Ben and Luke heard the Uncle Rocky, Fireman stories. The family grew to five (Ben, Luke, Rachel, Andrew, Sam) and settled in Pomfret, MD, outside of Washington, DC. Ben and Luke are no longer 6 and 4. Ben is a Marine, married, and father of five. Luke is an Apple employee in Chicago, IL. Ben now tells Uncle Rocky stories to his sons, Levi, Micah, Judah, and Seth.

He thoroughly enjoys school visits and reading to kids, likes meeting new people, and hopes the "Glad To Do It!"© message will encourage children to serve others with a happy heart.
School Visits - Jim Brewster loves to do school visits. He charges $150/visit which includes a complete set of 14 "Glad To Do It!" books for your classroom or library. He brings a fire coat and helmet for the kids to try on and take pictures in and can read 2-3 Uncle Rocky-Fireman, Officer Jack, or EMT Morales books in a 45 minute to 1 hour visit.
